Irish Design Shop is an outlet for Irish craft and design featuring the works of 30 makers, run by two NCAD metalwork graduates Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey, with two shops in Dublin City Centre as well as an online shop.
Irish Design Shop sells only products that are made in Ireland. It is run by two NCAD graduates, who's metalwork studio is run next door to the shop, where customers can see in to where the work is made.
There are also 12 other artists and makers resident in the studios in the building that are often on hand for a chat with customers (some sell their work through the shop, some do not).
Jewellery workshops are run at weekends throughout the year. Irish Design Shop Headquarters is located just opposite the Stephen's Green shopping centre/ College of Surgeons car park entrance.
At the second outlet in the Royal Hibernian Academy gallery there is on-street parking as well as a cafe and toilet facilities.
Two day workshops are offered at weekends, options iclude jewellery techniques courses (aimed at adults, both beginners and intermediate) and 'Make your own Wedding Rings' workshops (aimed at couples interested in creating their own unique wedding bands.
