An art exhibition of the world famous gardens at Mount Congreve is being held in the Municipal Art Gallery, Greyfriars, Waterford from February 1st next and continues for the month.
The artist, Tony Gunning, although born in Dublin has many connections with Urbs Intacta, (Waterford). The title of this solo exhibition tells its story. The Mount Congreve gardens are among the top 5 in the world and are recognised as such with its wonderful display of camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons and magnolias. It is probably the first time an exhibition has been devoted entirely to these gardens by one artist.
The exhibition is being officially opened by Redmond O’Donoghue, chairman, Fáilte Ireland on the 31st January.
