The Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament. Held annually in June on Ireland's North Coast.
Experience golf on the North Coast like you have never experienced it before with The Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament. Running successfully from the 1960s, it attracts up to 600 golfers annually from all over the world.
Taking place from 1st to 5th June 2020 the golfer will take on four links classics in Royal Portrush Valley, Ballycastle, Castlerock and Ballyliffin Old Links.
Royal Portrush’s fine Valley Links is set on the beautiful Causeway Coast, between the huge sand hills immediately along the Atlantic shore, it is where 2010 US Open champion Graeme McDowell learned the game.
Castlerock Golf Club is set among rolling sand dunes, where its scenic qualities embrace the River Bann flowing out to the Atlantic. A top-class links that has been played by the best.
The Warren Links at Ballycastle is a Course which mixes flat, low-lying holes with seaside classics. It is set on a spectacular stretch of coastline, with panoramic views of the Mull of Kintyre, Rathlin Island and Ballycastle Bay.
The Old Course at Ballyliffin has had the input of one of golf’s greatest champions, Nick Faldo. The Old Links undulates in the glory of its natural terrain, presenting a golf course that is considered among the top 20 best courses in Ireland.
While visiting the area golfers and their families may take the opportunity to visit the Causeway Coastal Route. Here you can see the mythical, medieval ruins of Dunluce Castle, then only a short drive away is Bushmills home to the famous Distillery, the oldest in Ireland, which produces the smooth-tasting whiskey known all over the world and of course no trip to the area would be complete without a visit to the Giants Causeway.
It is no coincidence that many of the golfers are repeat business, they come back every year to play these great courses and reminisce with friends in this picturesque part of the island. There are many fantastic bars and restaurant where competitors meet on an annual basis.
More than anything, you will discover the friendliness and camaraderie that comes with playing in the tournament.
