Farmleigh Gallery is hosting the Ros Tapestry Exhibition from 25th January till April 1st. Admission is free, so don’t miss this opportunity to see a unique take on Irish history, - spectacularly large embroidered panels, 15 in all, beautiful to look at, telling the story of the Norman invasion into the South East of Ireland, especially that of William Marshal and New Ross. These works of art, which are full of fascinating detail, have been painstakingly stitched by over 150 volunteers during the past 14 years. Suitable for families, - children love the many stories in the borders, - and lovers of art and craftwork – the colours and the workmanship are awesome. Farmleigh Gallery opening hours are , Tuesday to Sunday (and Bank Holiday Mondays). The Gallery closes for lunch from 12.45 -1.45pm. The Gallery is part of the Farmleigh House complex at the Castleknock end of the Phoenix Park.
