Lying between the beautiful Lough Swilly and Moldy Mountain, North West Golf Club has been called the St Andrews of Ireland.
The course lies between the picturesque Moldy Mountains and the sea. The surrounding scenery is magnificent. The club boasts a modern, comfortable clubhouse with the usual facilities. Cecil Barcroft has dubbed it the St Andrews of Ireland. There is much in common between St Andrews and Lisfannon, such as concealed runs and bumps approaching the greens that look easy enough to run onto.
Difficulties too do not always catch the eye from the tee. The holes are very varied with many sandy knocks and pleasant undulations but the general tendency is flattish. The greens are second to none. It provides pleasant winter golf.
