Stand Up Paddle or SUP is a traditional Hawaiian sport that promotes strength, balance and fun. Try it for yourself and experience walking on water in Clew Bay and the surrounding areas.
Stand up Paddle(SUP), a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes strength, balance and general fitness.
It consists of standing on a large surfboard while using a long paddle to propel yourself on the water.Try it out for yourself in the beautiful surroundings of Newport Harbour and the surrounding Clew Bay area, located just off the Great Western Greenway and on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Take a paddle under the Seven Arch Bridge in the flatwaters of Newport Harbour, or take in the breathtaking scenery with a paddle through some of Clew Bays 365 islands and its wildlife including dolphins and seals, and for the adventurous try out SUPsurf on one of the blue flag beaches dotted around the bay.
There are a variety of lessons and tours to cater for all abilities, aswell as a great range of boards, wetsuits and buoyancy aids. ClewBay SUP is an ASI Accredited school and its aim is to provide a safe environment for its customers while teaching them the proper techniques, etiquettes and safety while paddling and above all ensure they have fun.
