Hailed by Darren Clarke as the “biggest and best tournament in the world”, The Open will return to Northern Ireland for the first time in almost 70 years. The world’s golfing greats will take to the challenging links of Royal Portrush from 14-21 July 2019.
Northern Ireland is home to some of the most spectacular golf courses in the world – not to mention the world-class talent born and bred here. These courses have seen Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke hone their skills and rise to stardom thanks to the spectacular quality of their local greens and fairways… You see, what’s wonderful about the courses here is that they’re open to everyone, so you can walk in the footsteps of giants – except when they’re here playing themselves, naturally!
The action isn’t confined to the golf courses, either. Take in the treasures of the Causeway Coastal Route, like the crumbling cliff top beauty of Dunluce Castle, the mystical Mussenden Temple and the Game of Thrones® hotspot of Ballintoy Harbour. And of course, there’s the whiskey haven of Old Bushmills just four miles down the road, where you can toast The 148th Open in style.
You could win:
Tickets for a party of four to attend The 148th Open on Saturday 20th July, along with flights, car-hire, three nights’ accommodation in bustling Belfast, and a round of golf on a Northern Ireland course.
