Come for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017

Stay for the craic

The power. The bruising. The passion. Player or intrepid spectator, rugby has to be one of the most exciting sports to watch. Technicalities aside, it’s exceedingly fast paced and filled with large degree of suspended belief that bodies can remain upright under such fierce pressure.

Womens Rugby World Cup 2017

You can probably tell that here in the island of Ireland, we love our rugby. We love it so much that we’re hosting the phenomenal Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 in Dublin and Belfast – with pool stages kicking off on August 9, 2017, in Dublin, and the finals being played in Belfast between August 22-26.

While there’s bound to be rip-roaring action from the 12 international squads – who play as hard and as fast as their male counterparts – the pitch-side support from the people of Ireland and travelling fans will be solid as an unshakeable scrum. Prepare for the cheers, tears, and rapturous awe at the sheer physicality of it all.

And while the athletes recover or prep for a game, you can explore Dublin and Belfast – and what lies on their doorsteps. So, here’s a little taster of what’s waiting for you outside the stadia…
