Tollymore National Outdoor Centre is Sport Northern Ireland's Centre for Mountaineering and canoeing

Tollymore National Outdoor Centre is Sport Northern Ireland's Centre for Mountaineering and Canoeing Activities. It offers a range of skills and leadership courses in outdoor adventure sports including rock climbing, mountaineering, hillwalking, kayaking/canoeing, mountain biking and orienteering. Courses can be organised for groups of 4 or more people in addition to the list of programmed courses we already deliver. We provide training at all levels, from introductory 'GO' courses, through to instructor and coach training and assessment. We are the sole provider of all high level mountaineering, rock climbing, hillwalking and canoe sport leader, instructor and coach training and assessment courses in Northern Ireland.
We also deliver a wide range of courses making full use of Hotrock Climbing Wall and our indoor rolling pool.
On site facilities include high and low ropes courses, indoor and outdoor climbing walls, kayak rolling pool and a mountain bike skills course. The Centre also has 20 twin ensuite bedrooms, a range of changing facilities to suit different organisations, excellent dining facilities, coffee lounge facilities, Mournes Information Point and a range of meeting and conference rooms.
Findings in a recent survey conducted in August 2014 found that participants rated quality and experience of instructional staff, quality of equipment, facilities and accommodation as being important factors when selecting a training provider. We are delighted to say that Tollymore National Outdoor Centre was ranked 5 out of 5 in these areas.
Our staff.
Our greatest resource. The instructors who will work with you are among the most experienced and active outdoor enthusiasts in Northern Ireland. They are involved in the development of many award schemes and spend much of their spare time climbing and kayaking. They want to see you develop skills and share experiences with others.
