Belfast is alive with music
As host of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2027, Belfast will once again welcome top local and international musicians and performers for an unforgettable week of music. Hundreds of thousands of visitors will flock to the city for the celebrations.
With a rich musical heritage and vibrant contemporary scene, it should come as no surprise that Belfast is a UNESCO City of Music – making it the perfect setting for one of the island’s most iconic cultural festivals. Throughout the week, this Titanic town will buzz with concerts, competitions, céilís and craic, creating a party atmosphere across the city.
While major performances and events provide standout moments, some of the Fleadh’s greatest magic can be found in Belfast’s streets, pubs and public spaces. Follow the sound of a fiddle, discover an impromptu session, or simply soak up the atmosphere as traditional music fills the Belfast air.
