In Armagh, where St Patrick's legacy is still felt today, you can celebrate the life of Ireland’s patron saint at the Home of St Patrick Festival. Expect a lively and varied showcase of the best culture, music, song and dance in the place St Patrick called his “sweet little hill”.
There’s lots to look forward to in 2025, from the early morning Dawn Light event at Navan Centre and Fort to St Patrick’s Shindig – an open-air concert in the centre of the city. SYSTIR will perform in St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral, while Malachi Cush and Friends will play at the Roman Catholic Cathedral. Elsewhere, look out for walking tours of this historic city, a chance to learn more about Armagh’s stained glass heritage and even a whiskey masterclass. A jam-packed schedule for everyone to enjoy.

St Patrick is known around the world, but it is the island of Ireland that made him a legend. While his journey can be traced all around the island, it is Armagh that is the heart of celebrating the life of St Patrick – where the patron saint founded his first large stone church. Armagh city now has two cathedrals in his name, and of course, the Home of St Patrick Festival!
