The Republic of Ireland Women’s face Group 3 rivals Norway in a crucial 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification game.

The Republic of Ireland’s Women’s Team began their qualification campaign for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France by going undefeated for four games in a row including an away draw against European champions Netherlands, before going down 0-2 in Tallaght Stadium against that same opposition last April.

Now the Girls in Green must face two consecutive games against Norway, in Tallaght followed by return leg in Stavanger the following week. The Norwegian team are sitting in third place, just a point behind Ireland, and are our biggest rivals for a play-off spot from Group 3.

While this is not a vintage era for the Norwegian women’s team, they are former European, World, and Olympic champions and are one of the most successful women’s national teams of all time, as well as being ranked higher than Ireland in FIFA’s World Rankings, so the team will need every bit of support they can get as they head into the first part of this vital double-header.
