Adventure Caving at the Marble Arch Caves

Delve off the beaten track with our experienced and qualified Cave Leader to explore “Adventure” caving in the depths of the Marble Arch Caves system.
Your group of eight will explore cave passages, negotiate boulder chambers and clamber through the well-known flyover to emerge into the public tour of the show cave before navigating your way out, muddy and ecstatic!
Registration will be at the Marble Arch Caves Visitor Centre. We are running two sessions.
Morning session from 9:30 – 12:30
Timetable: Breakfast will be served in the Marble Arch Cave at 9:30. You will meet your Cave Instructor at 10:00 who will distribute and brief you on the caving gear and provide time to change. You will enter the cave around 10:30, the trip will take maximum 2 hours before returning to the visitor centre for 12:30 to return gear and change.
Afternoon session from 13:00 – 16:00
Timetable: Lunch will be served in Marble Arch Caves at 13:00. You will meet your Cave Instructor at 13:30 who will distribute and brief you on the caving gear and give you time to change. You will enter the cave around 14:00, the trip will take maximum 2 hours before returning to the visitor centre for 16:00 to return gear and change.
Marble Arch Café will provide a set meal option (please mention any dietary requirements you may have when booking).
What will you need?
We shall provide the essentials: Caving helmet, caving light, gloves and caving over suit. All you need to bring is an old set of warm clothes (we suggest you wear layers with no jeans or short sleeved tops) that you don’t mind getting muddy or damp. These will be worn under your caving suit. Wellingtons are also required (with warm socks), ensure these are a good fitting.
It is advisable to bring a towel and change of clothes to change back in to after your trip.
Minimum age: This event is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.
