Following on from the success of last winter’s Ban Bam micro-festival, the Improvised Music Company returns with the 2018 edition of Spectrum Festival and a bevy of exciting experimental acts.

The festival takes place across the weekend of Friday 9th March across three different venues around the city centre. The line-up includes some of the most exciting names from the UK jazz in Snowpoet and Sons of Kemet, Irish saxophonist Sam Comerford’s Thunderblender, and the incredible sight of throat-singing and traditional music from Huun-Huur-Tu of Tuva on Russian-Mongolian border.

With a characteristically broad and exciting programme, Spectrum Festival 2018 hops and skips between genres easily, and will provide plenty of musical nourishment for curious listeners.
