Housed in an 18th century mansion, Killarney International Hostel is a very impressive hostel in Kerry! It’s set on 75 acres of gardens and forest with a high ropes course in the trees overlooking the mountains surrounding Killarney National Park.

Killarney Ineternational Youth Hostel is situated on the Ring of Kerry Road, Killarney, which has stunning views of mountains and lakes. The 18th century mansion, which is set on 75 acres of gardens and forests, caters to school groups, couples, families and solo travellers.

The hostel overlooks the mountains surrounding Killarney National Park in County Kerry and it is very popular with both Irish and overseas visitors and groups who keep coming back to enjoy the tranquil rural environment and spectacular views over the mountains and the Killarney lakes. It is a great base to use to tour around the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and Dingle Peninsula.

There is a fantastic high ropes course on the grounds of Killarney International Youth Hostel in the trees along with archery and paintball activities. You can hire bikes, go pony trekking or just hike around the Gap of Dunloe and into the Black Valley.

The Killarney International Hostel is fully equipped with modern facilities but it retains the charm and character of an historic building in peaceful, rural surroundings. It has a well equipped self catering kitchen and dining room. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be provided for guests, just ask. For groups of 10 or more meals can be provided at reasonable prices.

There is also a lounge with open fire and games. Bed linen, Wifi and parking are included. Located beside the Killarney International Youth Hostel is The Lodge which sleeps 40 people in ten, four bed dorm rooms. This is ideal for groups, especially when you want the place to yourself!!

The hostel is open from March to October for all and from November to February for groups of 10 or more. Killarney Hostel aims to run the hostel in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Most of the waste is recycled or composted. Killarney Hostel is continually trying to reduce its carbon footprint and recently became members of Green Hospitality.
