Sea View Guesthouse, in the village of Allihies on the beautiful Beara Peninsula, Co Cork. Located close to (metre's away) the supermarket, pub's, restaurants, post office, mine museum, church, playground and of course the beaches.

Sea View Guesthouse has a reputation for comfort and a relaxed feel-at-home style, as well as an excellent breakfast. This is endorsed by the number of visitors who return each year. Sea View has ten ensuite rooms with TV, direct dial phone, and tea or coffee making facilities. Internet access is available for guests.

The house is situated in the quiet secluded village of Allihies, a 15 minute walk to the beach. Allihies is a charming village on the southwest tip of Ireland, on the end of the Beara peninsula in County Cork. Three pubs, a grocery store and a post office makes up the village. There are numerous beautiful places to visit. Natural stone arches, mountain walks, and a cable car visit to Dursey island are among the many things that guests can experience.

In the summer season, it is easy to laze about on the beach or try your luck at fishing off the rocks. One of the attractions to the village is the old copper mine buildings, now a museum. Cornish-style copper mines were set up in Allihies a few hundred years ago and the remains of the buildings can still be seen. These are exactly the same as the old mine buildings one can see in Cornwall, England. The museum will be of interest to many, both young and old, and will show how the mines worked and the conditions for miners a few hundred years ago.

There are many things to do in Allihies, including hill-walking, beach-walking and swimming, visiting natural arches, dolmens, ring forts, castles, and stone circles. For the more active visitor, there is horse riding, fishing, scuba diving, cycling, mountain biking, golf, bird watching, dolphin and whale watching. Dursey Island is well worth a visit and is accessed by cable car.

It is also possible with a suitable mode of transport to visit Kenmare, Bantry, Glengarriff, and Castletownbere from Allihies, and travel through the magnificent Healy Pass. The ring of Beara is also a beautiful drive with many art galleries and general places of interest that are worth a stop every few miles.
