Ground control to David Bowie fans...the 2nd Dublin Bowie Festival takes place citywide this January, so if you've already got plans this January, be sure to make some changes.
When David Bowie passed away in early 2016, the world collectively mourned. People gathered around his records, descended on his off-Broadway play, and watched the Man Who Fell To Earth through tearful eyes.
A year later, Dublin hosted its very first Bowie Festival, enjoying a successful first run that saw a huge turnout of folks ready to dance, sing, party and commemorate the one-year anniversary of the passing of the Thin White Duke.
This year's second edition will be even bigger and better, taking place citywide and culminating on the anniversary of the day he died.
With movie and documentary screenings, Q&As, debates and discussions, literary, fine art and fashion events, merch markets, quizzes, a BowieOke sing-off, DJs and lots more, you can relive your golden years as you pay tribute to one of popular culture's most influential figures.
Ashes to ashes, fun to funky - this is without a doubt the best way to kick off the new year.
