Clone House is a hidden treasure located between Arklow and Aughrim in County Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland. Offering guests elegant country house accommodation, this is an ideal base from which to explore Wicklow.

Clone House offers luxury bed and breakfast in a refined warm atmosphere with relaxed country house dining. Open log fireplaces warm the spacious reception rooms which are decorated with a wonderful selection of Irish art.

There are four charming guest bedrooms at Clone House, each decorated and furnished in its own unique style, where you can rest and relax with the soothing sounds of the countryside lulling you quietly to sleep and easing you gently awake.

From the elegant and sun filled Georgian reception rooms to the old world cosiness of the parlour which dates from 1670, Clone house is steeped in history, folklore and tales of do and dare associated with Irish history. Clone house, which was first built in the 1600s, was burned down during the Rebellion of 1798 and rebuilt around 1805.

Your hosts are the Ó Lorcáin family who can trace their origins in the Ancient Book of Munster as being the third clan of Ireland after the family of Brian Boru the first High King of Ireland.

Homely Irish country house cooking with a touch of character and a sprinkle of finesse is the style of food at Clone House. Produce as much as possible is local and seasonal and mirrors the Slow Food ethos.

The Garden of Ireland is steeped in history and scenic beauty. From Clone House you can visit many famous gardens including Powerscourt House, play golf on well known golf courses, admire historical houses, or take a walk along the Wicklow Way or the sand dunes of Brittas Bay
