Ardeen Country House B&B is situated in the heritage town of Ramelton overlooking the River Lennon. This historic Victorian house, built in 1845, is set in its own grounds on the edge of Ramelton town and was one time home of Nurse Catherine Black (Blackie) who was the private nurse to King George V. Both the drawing room and dining room are furnished with antiques and have open fires which help create a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, making any visitor feel instantly at home.
Anne and Bert Campbell have been welcoming guests into their lovely home for many years. Anne enjoys baking and provides afternoon tea and homemade scones on arrival.
There are five attractively decorated bedrooms, four of which are en-suite, one with private bathroom, all rooms are non-smoking and each room enjoy scenic views, WiFi is available in all rooms. Cots and high chair are available on request.
Ardeen House has a spacious garden for guest use and they also provide private parking, pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
Ardeen House is an ideal base for exploring the Donegal area including the Wild Altantic Way and visiting Glenveagh National Park and the Glebe Art Gallery, with its fine collection of Irish paintings. Close by is the town of Rathmullan where you can visit the Flight of the Earls exhibition.
Amenities for angling, horse riding, walks and golf are all within easy reach of Ardeen House.
