Fitzgeralds Farmhouse and Equestrian Centre is a luxury family run farmhouse B&B in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick. The equestrian centre is A.I.R.E approved and offers scenic horse riding in the surrounding area for all ages and abilities.
Fitzgeralds Farmhouse and Equestrian Centre have a wide range of horses suiting both the beginner and advanced rider. They cater for every age and lessons will teach all the formalities of riding in a fun relaxed manner.
They have a 2km trek on which riders can walk, trot or canter while taking in the beautiful views. For the more experienced rider there is a challenging cross-country course which includes banks and ditches.
Fitzgeralds Farmhouse and Equestrian Centre run pony-camps every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the summer where parents can relax for the day in the knowledge that their children are having a lot of fun and being well looked after.
Riding Lessons are run either in their outdoor or indoor arena. They like to combine the combination of the more formal lesson in one of the arenas and then for the second half of the lesson, take riders out onto the trek, where they can practice all of what they learnt and really enjoy horse riding in the open country side.
As they are only a 45 minute drive from the beach, they also offer days where intermediate to experienced riders can have an amazing trek along the beach, and then go swimming with the horses. This is a truly special and unique experience.
While staying at the farmhouse which is located in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, visitors can also feed the animals in the pet-land, walk their lovely nature trail, see an exhibition of antique farm machinery and take a stroll through the rolling hills.
