Knockree Hostel is right on the Wicklow Way only 10 minutes from the beautiful Enniskerry town of County Wicklow. This is a 5 Star hostel with fantastic views and helpful staff; and it provides a Honeymoon Suite that’s regularly used for weddings.

Just off the famous Wicklow Way trail, the 5 Star Knockree Hostel is a modern hostel and is popular with hikers, families, youth groups and travellers of all sorts. The original Hostel was an 18th century farmhouse.

Knockree Hostel is surrounded by the flowing green hills and trails of the Wicklow Way. It is part of the Irish Youth Hostel Association which emphasises safety and security in budget accommodation for youth travellers and groups. Manager Andy and his staff will make every effort to ensure your visit to the area is one to remember and ensure you will want return again.

As Knockree Youth Hostel is so close to Dublin, it is ideal for a trip out of the city. It is in a unique location in the Glencree Valley facing Maulin Mountain to the south east and the Sugarloaf Mountain to the east. The Wicklow Way walking route passes through the land below the hostel, along the banks of a picturesque river. The nearest village, Enniskerry is one of the prettiest Victorian villages in Ireland. It is just 7.5km away and is home to the famous Powerscourt Estate.

The Honeymoon Suite at Knockree Hostel has a beautiful view of the valley and a balcony that looks out over the spectacular view, it also offers en-suite rooms, family rooms, wheelchair accessible rooms as well as six bed dormitory rooms.

There’s also a meeting room and conferencing area, a large capacity dining hall, and a TV relaxation room with a log fire. There is, of course, a drying room, laundry room and self catering facilities. With plenty of games, DVDs and table tennis as well as a great location for hiking, biking and horse riding, there’s always plenty to do rain or shine!

Knockree Hostel serves a range of breakfasts for all guests which can be ordered at check-in at good value. Lunch and evening meals can be pre-ordered (minimum 4 day's notice) for six or more guests. There is a range of options including packed lunches for hikers just ask in advance! If you’re short of anything or would like something to eat, ask about the mini-shop which stocks a supply of foodstuffs and toiletries too!

Knockree Hostel is fast becoming very popular with families, hikers, groups and schools so book early to ensure you too can experience the Garden of Ireland in this fine hostel.
