Situated in the picturesque village of Rathgormack, the Rathgormack Hiking Centre and Hostel can accommodate up to 22 people in two separate rooms. It is the ideal base for exploring the many attractions of North Waterford and South Tipperary.
Situated at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains in the quaint village of Rathgormack, the hostel accommodation at Rathgormack Hiking Centre is Fáilte Ireland approved and offers dormitory style accommodation with space for 22 people in two separate rooms. Larger groups can be catered for overnight stays in our large hall, with groups of in excess of 70 people having stayed in the past.
There is a self-catering kitchen with cooking facilities and small sitting room. Other on-site facilities include fridge, washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, microwave and instant hot water. Luggage storage and complimentary car parking are also available.
It is home to an indoor climbing wall that attracts mountaineering clubs and climbers from all over Ireland. Meanwhile, kids can have fun at the playground and guests of all ages can enjoy the community centre, which is the base for a wide range of groups and activities.
The hostel and hiking centre are ideally located for exploring the many attractions of North Waterford County, including Crotty’s Lake, Coumshingaun Lake, The Mahon Falls and the Nire Valley.
