Tarbert is a scenic village situated along the estuary of the River Shannon, about 45km north of Tralee. In the area, travellers will find opportunities for sea angling, walking, golfing, dolphin and bird watching, and more. They can also visit the nearby Scattery Island, which houses ruins of an ancient monastic settlement.
