The Ferry House Hostel is a 200-year-old building found in the village square in Tarbert, County Kerry. It was completely refurbished in 1995 and the popular budget travel guide ‘Let’s Go’ voted it the Best Hostel in Ireland.
Tarbert is a scenic village situated along the estuary of the River Shannon, about 45km north of Tralee. In the area, travellers will find opportunities for sea angling, walking, golfing, dolphin and bird watching, and more. They can also visit the nearby Scattery Island, which houses ruins of an ancient monastic settlement.
