Gallán Mór is located on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula and enjoys an elevated position offering breath taking views over Dunmanus Bay. Designed, built and furnished to offer accommodation with style, distinction and warmth. With our small and intimate set-up we can promise our guests a level of comfort and personal service that will ensure that their stay with us is a memorable one.
Beautiful terraced gardens have been created to give guests the opportunity to enjoy alfresco breakfasts and meandering pathways with secluded seating areas to relax in.

Our stylish guest lounge features a huge stone fireplace and Italian wood burning stove. The lounge and dining area are flooded with natural light and offer fabulous sea views.

Bedrooms feature artisan or antique sumptuous beds, zoned under floor heating, en-suites with power showers and WI-FI and satellite TV.

We promise delicious home baked and locally sourced breakfasts which are simple, seasonal, local and fresh.
It is an ideal base for exploring West Cork and The Ring of Kerry. Outdoor activities include walking, cycling, horseback riding, fishing and water sports. The Sheep’s Head Way Walk, a 175km looped Walk was named by Walking Magazine as one of the best walks in Ireland.

Gallán Mór (the mighty stone) is named after the 3,500 year old registered standing stone in our garden which offers 360 panoramic views of sea, hills and mountains.
