Dolmen Lodge is an elegant, family run farmhouse in scenic setting with panoramic views of Galway Bay and the Burren on the Atlantic Way Drive. Quiet, peaceful, yet only one km from Ballyvaughan Village. Situated on recently developed Wood Loop walk.

From Dolmen Lodge visitors can take a leisurely stroll to Aillwee Cave and enjoy the magnificent Burren scenery. Ideal location for walking/cycling the Burren. Local attractions include Poulnabrone Dolmen (7 km), Cliffs of Moher (30 minutes drive), ferry to Aran Islands (30 minutes) and Shannon Airport (1 hour)

Dolmen Lodge is set in a 100 acre farm, much of it limestone pavements, has been designated as a special area of conservation. It is a botanist's and geologist's delight where arctic and alpine flowers grow side by side. From May onwards, these exotic flora can be seen to best advantage.

Guest rooms at Dolmen Lodge are tastefully furnished with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and free wifi. Both dining room and sitting room overlook a colourful garden.

Dolmen Lodge is ideal for walking or cycling the Burren. There is a variety of walking trails and loop walks. The Wood Loop trail runs through the farm to Ailwee Cave. Information is available to assist with guided and non guided walks.

Dolmen Lodge is within easy reach of Poulnabrone Dolmen which attracts thousands of visitors every year. Nearby is Caherconnell stone fort and interpretive centre. It is a short drive from the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin Village where there is a daily ferry service to the Aran Islands. The village itself with its thatched cottages and beautiful sea views has an enduring appeal. It is well served with pubs and restaurants and traditional music is available during the summer months.
