This drive begins in the bustling city of Limerick and brings you through a green and fertile land where livestock graze and visitors take their time.
The Limerick Drive (red route) takes you to Limerick City, Adare, Newcastle West, Dromcollogher, Rath Luirc, Kilmallock, Hospital and Limerick City. A distance of 134km (83 miles), approximately.
A circular route through the green and fertile countryside of Co Limerick. First stop is Adare village, famous for its Tudor style thatched cottages and Adare Heritage Centre. Nearby are the ruins of Curraghchase House and Forest Park. The National Dairy Co-Op Museum is located in Dromcollogher, whilst Kilmallock is an ideal base to explore the Ballyhoura Mountains. Stop off at Lough Gur (an important archaeological site on the way back to Limerick City.
