The region boasts an impressive selection of accommodation options (hotels, castles, B&Bs, self catering and a luxury hostel) along with a multitude of activities and attractions for all age groups.
Archaeological and historical gems include the medieval walled town of Kilmallock and pre-historic Lough Gur with its stone circle, wedge tomb and visitor centre. Heritage Hubs celebrate the area’s important ancestry eg De Valera Museum in Bruree and JFK’s links with Bruff.
Home to Europe’s largest mountain bike park, there are 98km of looped cycling trails to suit all levels. Walkers can enjoy the waymarked walks and trails all year round. In addition, cross road dancing, rambling houses, road bowling, orienteering, geocaching and guided tours are also available.
