This October, the 3Arena will welcome two absolute giants of rock’n’roll for the 2018 edition of BluesFest. After appearances from Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, and Chic last year, John Fogerty will be heading up the bill with support on the night from The Steve Miller Band.
Fogerty is best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and main songwriter of the California band Creendence Clearwater Revival. CCR were huge part of late 1960s and early 1970s music with hits like Proud Mary, Fortunate Son, Have You Ever Seen The Rain?, and Full Moon Rising. After the band’s demise in 1972, Fogerty began his long and fruitful solo career where he has mixed country and western and the influence of Robert Johnson’s blues into his rock'n'roll sound.
The Steve Miller Band emerged in the 1960s and have been trucking ever since with a wide variety of musicians backing up Miller himself. Hits like Fly Like An Eagle, Abracadabra, and The Joker are the calling cards of Miller who, like Fogerty, has been inducted in the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame.
