Icelandic composer and performer Ólafur Arnalds is returning to Dublin to play a concert at The National Concert Hall this autumn.

Arnalds’ work mixes neo-classical composition with elements from electronica and ambient music to create a distinctive brew. He has also created soundtracks for television and film for Broadchurch and Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams, as well as touring with his compatriots Kiasmos.

His appearance at The National Concert Hall will feature a uniquely wired string quartet, a live percussionist and a huge collection of synthesisers and keyboards that Arnalds will wield. There’s even two self-playing pianos that create their own generative music that Ólafur and his team have spent years developing, meaning that no two performances will every be the same.
