IndieCork is an annual arts festival that has been running since 2013, celebrating independent film and music from around Cork and Ireland.
Each year, the organisers put together a programme of film screenings, talks, workshops, and performances around a handful of Cork City venues including The Gate Cinema, Nano Nagle Place, and Blacknight Festival Centre at the Village Hall on St Patrick’s Quay.
The main focus of IndieCork remains film. For each edition of the festival, the curatorial team puts together a large programme of cinema, ranging from collections of shorts from local filmmakers to up-and-coming arthouse fare – the Academy Award nominated Call Me By Your Name received one of its first Irish screenings at last year’s festival.
To top off the offering, there are also an abundance of industry pros contributing to roundtables and workshops on topics like “How to get your project financed, produced, delivered and released” and film pitching sessions.
