St George's Market
Discover the delights of St George’s Market, where sounds, flavours and community converge in a historic setting.
Built during the 19th century, this popular market has become a cornerstone of Belfast's social and economic life, and is popular with both locals and visitors from around the world.
Fridays begin with the Variety Market, a 200-stall celebration of local produce, including the island of Ireland's leading retail fish market. The Food and Craft Market opens on Saturdays, and is a melting pot of great food, art and plenty of craic (fun). From traditional Irish fare to exotic global cuisine, there's something to satisfy every palate. And Sunday offers all the above, with a strong focus on local artists and craftspeople, giving them an opportunity to showcase their work. Beyond its role as a marketplace, St. George's Market also serves as a great hangout spot, where friends and families come together to shop, chat and eat.
