Discover the wilds of Lough Neagh and learn how it’s inhabitants used the natural environment.
Our Wilderness Tour allows you to step back from modern life and learn how early man survived on Lough Neagh. Our team of experts from the Bushcraft Centre at Oxford Island will teach you basic survival skills.
Learn how to forage the hedgerows in our outdoor larder on the shores of Lough Neagh, you will find everything from dandelions and sticklebacks to nettles and elderflower, and cook them up for lunch with some locally caught fish on the camp fire you will have learned to build & light.
You will learn how to build a shelter using materials found in the woods at Oxford Island, but there’s no time for a nap, as you will then take to the water of Lough Neagh in a canoe. There really is no better way to immerse yourself into the untouched wilderness of Lough Neagh, than our tour.
Tickets are priced at £70pp to include return transport and lunch.
The tour departs from Belfast 81 - 85 Chichester Street 10:00 sharp with a pick up at Antrim & Toomebridge on pre-scheduled dates through-out the season.
The tour returns approx 18:00.
