Lickeen Trout Anglers Co Operative Society Ltd, Lickeen, Kilfenora, Clare,
Lickeen Lake is a 250 acre lake located in the heart of the unique Burren region in north County Clare. It is stocked regularly with brown trout and is managed by the Lickeen Trout Anglers Co-Operative.
Lickeen Lake is situated around 4 kms south west of the village of Kilfenora and 4 kms north west of Ennistymon in County Claire. It is around 2.5kms long and 0.75kms wide.
Lickeen Trout Anglers Co-Operative manages the lake under licence from the Central Fisheries Board. The co-operative stock the lake annually with brown trout and they are involved in improving the environment of the lake area and providing a trout fishery for both visiting and local anglers.
Open season runs from 17 March to 30 September.
