Carnegie Building, Pery Square, Limerick City, Limerick,
From the 18th to the 20th of October 2019, Limerick city and county celebrates architecture and urban design.
The OpenHouseLimerick festival weekend offers a glimpse of rarely seen spaces, it is free of charge and all are very welcome.
If you love architecture and urban design from historic to contemporary, you will already be looking forward to OHL19.
This much-loved and rare weekend of access to typically off-limits sites is now in its seventh year.
This year's OHL takes place on Friday, October 18th, Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th.
The festival is guided by a straightforward principle : to showcase outstanding architecture; inviting everyone to explore and understand the value of a well designed built environment - all completely free of charge.
Thanks to partnerships with over 20 arts and cultural organisations, educational facilitators, architectural practices, national and regional agencies and others, OHL Weekend will open more than 30 buildings and projects across the city and county for walks, talks and tours with architects, urban planners, preservationists and historians.
OHL is a voluntary non profit festival where building owners, architects, guides and stewards give their time for free
Come along to the launch night in Saint Mary's Cathedral at 6pm on Friday, October 18th or pop into the festival hub in the Limerick City Gallery of Art for weekend programming details.
