A citizen of the world with Mumbai on his mind and Ireland in his heart
My great grandparents Lawrence & Esther Kenny were from a small town called Inchicore on the outskirts of Dublin. My great grandfather was an engine driver, and when the British were building railroads in Burma he and his family migrated to Rangoon for work.
My grandfather Claude Kenny was born in Rangoon and after World War 2 arrived in Delhi as an immigrant, where he worked as a musician and met my grandmother.
Subsequently my father Robert Kenny was born in the then trendy Karol Bagh area of Delhi, but the lure of work as a musician soon led the family to Calcutta where my father met my mother, Adele.
And soon enough Luke Kenny arrived, but within the year Bombay called.
