Waterford City’s Christ Church Cathedral stands on land that has been spiritually significant since the 11th century. In addition to being a place of worship, the 18th-century County Waterford cathedral hosts concerts, recitals and exhibitions.
Waterford City’s Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity was built in 1793, making it Ireland’s oldest Catholic cathedral. Like the city’s Christ Church Cathedral, it was designed by influential architect John Roberts.
St. Patrick’s Gateway Centre is based within a church which dates back to 1720. Located inside Waterford City’s Norman Walls which make up the Western Wall of the site, the Centre serves as a place of Worship and a Community Centre.
