Jem Cohen's Museum Hours is a rare feature film from him, which takes place in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
Museum Hours is a 2013 film by Afghanistan-born American director Jem Cohen. Much of Cohen’s work is documentary, including films made with musicians like Fugazi, Elliott Smith, and The Ex, however Museum Hours is a rare feature film from him.
The action takes place in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, where one of the guards there, Johann, encounters and befriends an enigmatic visitor from abroad, Anne. The museum becomes a crossroads where they explore their lives, the city, works of art, and their views of the world.
