Every Thought That Ever Was is an ambitious moving image installation exploring human consciousness, artificial intelligence and the schizophrenic mind.
Drawing on philosophical ideas and scientific research, this ambitious project by UK based artist Lindsay Seers considers historical representations of schizophrenia and contemporary insights into the condition achieved through the use of virtual reality.
Employing kinetic, robotically choreographed projection screens which move within the gallery space, Seers' work dramatises the complex dynamics of the psyche and demonstrates schizophrenia not as an illness, but rather an extraordinary brain phenomenon that reveals profoundly different experiences of space and time.
This exhibition is free to visit and can be viewed from 10am - 7pm, seven days a week.
