Boskill, a family run equestrian centre and livery yard situated just outside Caherconlish in Co. Limerick. An adorable collection of horses and ponies which are used for pleasure riding, showjumping, cross country and trekking all year round.
Boskill Equestrian Centre in Caherconlish welcomes riders of all levels and with over 60 horses, can accommodate any type of rider and any style. The centre can offer all levels of horse riding lessons providing the very best training and facilities to make the most of your time in the saddle. Above all, this is a friendly, lively riding school with a wealth of experience in developing the skills of both the capable rider and the enthusiastic novice. Riders who simply ride to have fun and relax are as welcome as those determined to improve and compete, each and every client is treated as an individual and this special community is enriched by people of all abilities, from all walks of life, with one thing in common, a love of horses and riding. Boskill Equestrian Centre is AIRE approved, with all staff holding first aid, child protection certificates, child officer certificates and Garda vetted.
The Boskill Equestrian Centre offers a variety of lessons from beginners to advanced riders, or for those riders wishing to improve in certain disciplines. Teaching all ages (starting at age 4) and all disciplines you are sure to find something that suits your needs. The centre believes riders can become better by cross training, learning from different disciplines and in making learning fun with experienced staff members ensuring the safety and welfare of the rider, which is of the upmost importance. All horses receive first class care and individual attention in a relaxed, happy and caring, yet professional environment. There is also a large all weather outdoor arena which contains a full sand soft filling for the comfort of both the horses and riders.
The Ryan family bring generations of experience in breeding, training and horse riding to the operation of their equestrian centre, also professional help and advice is always on hand. All of the horses and ponies have been personally selected by Wesley Ryan ETRL (Equestrian Tourism Ride Leader), BHS PTT, to ensure each are well schooled, so you can have a safe pleasurable experience. Wesley's brother Dale is also involved in the business holding his BHS Stage 2 and a TEFL certificate.
Boskill Equestrian provides an outdoor arena, clipping, livery, ample hacking, schooling, toilets for the disabled, lecture room, changing room and canteen. Other facilities available in the surrounding area include 2 handball alleys, 2 sports fields, tennis court and beautiful scenery for walking and history walks. Places to visit incudes Limerick City for shopping, cinema, swimming pools, karting, etc.)
Further places to go include Lough Gur, Glenstall Abbey and the Clare Glens. For food there is Hayes in Cappamore, Crockers in Murroe. Limerick City is near and there are four pubs for some drinks in our village. There is also a b&b in Bruff and at Lough Gur, Castleoaks Hotel in Castleconnel and verious hotels in Limerick City.
