FIRE Restaurant and Lounge Is a multi-award winning venue located in the heart of Dublin city centre, in the popular Dawson Street and St Stephens Green vicinity.

FIRE Restaurant & Lounge is an award winning venue located in the heart of Dublin with a stunning terrace overlooking the Lord Mayor’s garden. FIRE’s signature dishes Wood Fired Jumbo Tiger Prawns & Irish Hereford Prime Irish Steaks come recommended.

The Mansion House was built in 1710 and has been the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715. Joshua Dawson; after whom Dawson Street is named; built the Mansion House and was the first to develop this area of the city which was once marshlands.

On the 25th of April 1715 the Mansion House was purchased for £3,500, an annual rent and a six pound loaf of double refined sugar every Christmas. It was the first purpose bought Lord Mayor’s Residence in the United Kingdom. The room in which FIRE Restaurant is now located is formally called the Supper Room. The present room is the third structure built for such a purpose on this site. The first was built in 1864, the second in 1881 and the last in 1891. The room, which was built on a budget of £1,500, was used as the supper room for the Lord Mayor initially, later it was used as a cultural centre but in the 1990s it returned to it’s original purpose as a supper room when it became a commercial restaurant.

In 2005, the building became FIRE Restaurant at The Mansion House. The building itself remains in the care of the state and the Lord Mayor is still in residence in the Mansion House who often comes to dine in ‘The Supper Room’.

FIRE pride themselves on creating menus that focus on utilising fresh in-season produce to create dishes bursting with a multitude of flavours. They are firmly committed to supporting sustainable local Irish produce and only serve the finest selection of award winning meats and produce that Ireland has to offer.

Executive Chef Richie Wilson and Culinary Director John Dowd carefully assemble FIRE’s food with pride. With over 20 years’ experience FIRE’s Head Chef, Richie Wilson, brings dedication to Irish produce and artisan producers to create his own ideas of what modern Irish food should be.

Complete your FIRE experience in the cocktail lounge. FIRE believe in using the finest possible ingredients in their food. The same philosophy applies to their spirits, liqueurs and wines.

Each of FIRE’s spirits, liqueurs and wines are extensively researched to ensure that only the best is available. With gins, vodkas and rums they have looked to find both interesting characteristics and flavours.

FIRE’s first floor private dining rooms feature floor to ceiling glass windows and your very own private terrace overlooking the Lord Mayor’s Garden.

Offering flexibility with individual rooms suitable for up to 16 guests, the private dining rooms can be opened up to offer dining for 60 people or a standing reception for 100.
