A spectacular clifftop walk with green lanes and folklore
Join local walking guide Duane Fitzsimons and explore the myths and heritage of the Lecale coast on a cliff top walk. The tour departs from Chapeltown outside of Ardglass. The route follows country roads and green lanes to the cliffs.
This event is part of the Home of Saint Patrick Festival. Along the way you will paying a visit to his well; hear tales of the viking raiders; the arrival of the Normans, seeing their legacy. In later centuries there are tales of shipwreck and the folklore of the people who live in the land.
The walk is circular and returns to the starting point. The total distance covered is 4.5 miles. The walk will last approximately 2.5 hours.
Afterwards you will be treated to some traditional music in the form of Uillean pipes and a mandolin. A lunch will be served at Curran's Bar.

Clothing suitable for the inclement weather, sensible walking shoes.
