10 Exchange Street West, Belfast,
The play is a love story, a hymn to the redemptive power of art and a life-affirming human drama.
In Vienna, a young woman dreams of becoming a dancer. In Belfast, an elderly man revisits a painful past, while a mother and daughter unearth an elusive piece of family history, long hidden in their family home.
The storyline moves between Belfast in the present day and Vienna and Berlin in the 1930s, the darkest period in 20th-century European history.
Its central characters are Holocaust survivor and self-styled ‘Belfast man’ Leo Edelmann, his daughter Sofie, his granddaughter Galina Moriarty and a young dancer called Galina Stein.
