Situated along the Wild Atlantic Way, Cahergal Farmhouse is a real home away from home, thanks to the warm welcome from owners, Noreen and Michael. The farm has been in the family for eight generations and guests can enjoy horse riding, farm tours and a round of tennis during their stay. And of course, there’s the delicious home cooking – think freshly baked scones, tasty omelettes and full Irish breakfasts. Heaven. Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is nearby along with picturesque Dromoland Castle and tranquil lakelands.
The family who own Cahergal have an incredibly beautiful farm. The pictures cannot do it justice. The first morning we woke up to meet a 5-hour-old foal!

Who needs a chocolate on your pillow when you can have homemade biscuits? Arch House is all about the personal touch, with hosts Rosemary and Geoffrey going above and beyond to make you feel right at home. Along with an extensive breakfast offering, guests can enjoy dinner which caters to all tastes with Lough Erne trout, steak and Guinness pie, and chickpea vegetable stir fry all on the menu. This lovely B&B is surrounded by some of Northern Ireland’s best attractions, including the Marble Arch Caves, Florence Court and the Cuilcagh Boardwalk.
Such a warm welcome from Rosemary from the moment we arrived. The evening meal was delicious with everything being freshly prepared.

A wonderful retreat in an incredibly unique farmhouse environment, the breakfast was truly unforgettable with wonderful extra touches.

Located in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, The Arches Farmhouse is a charming countryside retreat. Owners Pearl and Wilson will welcome you with fresh tea and coffee along with homemade scones, show you to your comfortable room and let you settle in. In the morning, tuck into a delicious Irish fry (complete with fresh farm eggs), followed by a wander around the farm. And you’re never short on things to do! Guests can enjoy tennis and crazy golf on site, or take advantage of the games room for a cosy evening in. Ardra Lough is just 500 metres away and Lough Oughter is a short drive, where canoeing, guided boat tours and fishing are all in store.
The room was perfect, the breakfasts were feasts. The proprietors were charming, gracious and helpful. The grounds were a delight to explore.

The Limerick Greenway is nearby if you fancy a cycle through the countryside while Limerick city is an hour away by car.
A great extended Irish family, the most comfortable beds ever, well cared for horses and just a great place to vacation!
