Ashford Castle is a luxurious five-star hotel situated along the shores of Lough Corrib in Cong, County Mayo. The beautiful 13th century castle, complete with 83 guest rooms, dates back to 1228 and was once the Guinness family estate.

Once the Estate of Lord Ardilaun and the Guinness family, Ashford opened as a luxury hotel in 1939.
In 2013 Ashford Castle became part of the Red Carnation Collection, who began a loving restoration project and now offers 82 bespoke bedrooms and a lakeside Cottage.
