For the small, the rare and the beautiful. Courtville Antiques, located in the Powerscourt Shopping Centre, specialises in pretty antique wearable jewellery. Most of the jewellery on sale is “Estate Jewellery” and comes from many continental countries including France, Spain, Portugal and Sweden. Courtville Antiques is celebrating it's 40th year as a successful antique jewellers. Grainne Pierse is the owner of Courtville Antiques and the business originally began in 1964 by Grainne's mother in Tipperary. Grainne's passion for antique jewellery is because “of the history and romance behind each piece of jewellery. The attention to detail and workmanship of antique jewellery is quite ornate,” says Grainne. At the moment Grainne has a pair of rare natural baroque pearl earrings that are at least a hundred years old. Many couples who get engaged visit here for a special and unique engagement ring.
