Emerald Outdoors offer relaxing guided tours of Kenmare bay. Explore the hidden beauty of the bay by day or wonder at sparking bioluminescence by night. Their experienced guides will help you get closer to nature in an eco-friendly kayak.

Emerald Outdoors specialise in guided tours of Kenmare Bay by kayak. Their fleet of top of the range tandem kayaks offer a stable and comfortable seat for your guided exploration of the historic waterways and wild landscape. Enjoy getting close to the water whilst staying dry with waterproof and windproof tops provided to keep you warm. Just slip them over your every day clothes and you are ready to go!

Emerald Outdoors run two trips, a Day Tour and their premium Night Trip, as well as family orientated trips for children aged 8 and upwards (see their website for details). Their Day Tour brings you on an unforgettable journey through Kenmare bay, the most inland area of sea in Ireland. Situated on the Wild Atlantic way, you will be immersed in an unspoilt natural environment from the moment you sit in your kayak. With no polluting engines or intrusive noise these kayaks allow for closer encounters with wildlife and a unique access to channels that would otherwise be impossible to reach.

The Emerald Outdoors starlit Night Trip is designed to create an atmosphere of peace and quiet as you gently move through the beautiful Kenmare Bay and into the sunset. You don't need any previous experience to join this magical tour that will bring you close to seals and the mystical spark of biolumiescence. The fleeting shadows of passing sea birds and surrounding silhouettes of majestic mountains make this an experience that you will never forget.
