Join me in my 18th century thatched cottage in Ballymorran Bay, only 30 minutes from Belfast.

Join me in my 18th century thatched cottage in Ballymorran Bay, on the shores of Strangford Lough for a truly authentic traditional Irish bread making experience.

Only 30 minutes from Belfast in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

After a warm welcome and morning coffee northern Irish style with traditional breads to enjoy, we will get to work. Aprons on – we will make soda bread, wheaten / brown bread champ bread {made with potatoes}. We will also have a typical local sweet treat - tray bakes which you will enjoy with your tea or coffee. You will learn how to make these breads in a relaxed and cosy farmhouse kitchen.

All breads made are griddle breads which means that they are ready withing 7 - 10 minutes! The small of freshly baked breads will make us all hungry.

This is a truly authentic and immersive experience - and unique to NI Food Tours. You will take away a bag of freshly made breads and and a copy of all recipes used in the class.
