North East Inner City Dublin, Dublin City, Dublin,

Free ten-day Halloween festival for all the family in Dublin's North East Inner City. Events for young and old. Halloween carnival-style extravaganza on Halloween Night.

Dracula author, Bram Stoker lived on Buckingham Street in the North Inner City for longer than any other place in the capital. So, The Big Scream Halloween Community Festival is bringing Bram home with ten days of events and activities for everyone in the family.

Help break the World Record for the biggest group of people dressed as vampires! All you need is a cape (or a black bin bag!). Free face painting, music and treats will be offered to all vampires. Meeting Place: Outside Seán McDermott Street Church at 18:30 on 23 October.

Take a Gothic torchlit walking tour or enjoy a public interview with Bram’s great grand-nephew, Dacre Stoker. Talks about Dracula, ancient vampire myths and Bram Stoker will also be on offer in Dublin’s oldest library. Get involved in craft making workshops or enjoy Halloween bingo. Or dress your dog as a scary or cute character for our Halloween doggie contest in Mountjoy Square Park on Sunday 27 October from 11:00-13:30.

While you’re in this part of the city, stop at Bram Stoker house on Buckingham Street for a selfie with Dracula!

And if you’re looking for a carnival-style family celebration on Halloween night, there’ll be free festivities on Seán McDermott Street.

Check out the full programme of activities on the festival website.
