The Oratory of the Sacred Heart in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin has won numerous architectural awards. It was built to commemorate the end of World War I and contains stunning decorative murals by Sister Concepta Lynch.

The Oratory of the Sacred Heart in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin has won numerous architectural awards. It was built to commemorate the end of World War I and contains decorative murals by Sister Concepta Lynch, whose father was known as the King of Celtic Art.

A treasure of Dun Laoghaire, the Oratory of the Sacred Heart was created to celebrate the end of World War I. It was the masterpiece of Sister Concepta Lynch, who devoted much of her spare time to decorating it with elaborate, colorful designs. There are also stained glass windows by Harry Clarke.

The oratory remains well preserved and has won numerous architectural awards. There is also peace garden on the grounds.
