Lake Lodge is a beautifully re-furbished self catering lodge accommodation situated on the banks of Lough Owel. Rurally located, but within ten minutes drive of Mullingar, a lively market town.

Lake Lodge is a beautifully presented lodge set within the peaceful location of thirty acres overlooking Logh Owel and just one mile off the N4. The lodge is perfectly refurbished to the highest standards, open plan, consisting of a fitted kitchen, dining area, full bathroom and sitting area with a fire burning stove to relax and enjoy.

On a summer's evening dine alfresco under a covered wooden gazebo, while enjoying the landscape gardens and fruit forest. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, each room decorated to the highest standard, with a queen and single beds in each room, a book lover’s area to unwind and relax. A full children's play centre is located in the gardens.

Enjoy the beauty of Lough Owel, fishing, swimming, boating, or simply set up a picnic and enjoy the views. It is deep lake with exceptional water clarity and with flies drifting out from the shore it often pays to drift well beyond the shallows, indeed right across the lake in some instances. The lake has a resident stock of wild brown trout, with an average weight of about 2lbs. This stock has improved greatly over recent years due to the control of pike numbers.

Multyfarnham sits located among the rolling hills of north county Westmeath and on the shores of the fabled Lough Derravaragh, one of the famed lakes of the Children of Lir. Just two miles off the N4 after Mullingar and less than an hour from Dublin, two award winning restaurants, two lovely pubs, a glorious park, playground, playing fields and community center on the banks of the River Gaine and most importantly a vibrant Multyfarnham friary it dates to the 15th Century. See the stations of the cross, enjoy beautiful walks and admire this stone cut Roman Catholic church.

Mullingar town is 10 minute drive away, there is a wealth of shops, pubs, golf courses, equestrian centre, cinemas, theatre, and children's play centre to delight everyone. The lake lodge makes a great base, any time of the year.
